WakeOpp
FAQ
How the alarm works, and what happens to your photos.
What actually happens when the alarm goes off?
It rings, and pressing stop doesn't end it — the alarm comes back every 10 seconds. To silence it you open WakeOpp, read the prompt, and photograph what it asks for. An AI checks the photo. Only then does it stop.
Can I cheat it?
Less easily than you can just get up, which is the point. The prompts are chosen so they can't be satisfied from bed, and photographing a photo doesn't pass. We don't claim it's impossible to beat — we claim beating it is more work than standing up.
What if I genuinely can't do the prompt?
Tap Can't do this? You get three swaps. After that you get one you can do almost anywhere, and if you still can't, there's a way out that doesn't involve the camera. You will never be trapped in a ringing alarm.
What if there's no internet?
The photo check needs a connection. If we can't reach the verifier twice in a row, WakeOpp switches to an on-device challenge that needs no network at all. The alarm always has a way to be switched off.
What happens to my photos?
The photo goes to our server, then to OpenAI to be checked, and is discarded as soon as a verdict comes back. It is never stored, never shown to anyone, and never used for anything else. In a duel, your opponent sees that you finished and how fast — never the picture.
What's a duel?
You and your friends set the same alarm and race to complete the challenge. Fastest wins. It is the reason most people open the app a second time.
Do I need an account?
Only for duels. The alarm itself works entirely on your phone with no account at all.
How do I cancel?
In your Apple Account settings, under Subscriptions. Deleting your WakeOpp account does not cancel billing — cancel first, then delete.
